The medicine exists. It's free. And the patient still doesn't have it.

No patient left behind by paperwork.

The cure is on the shelf. The patient is on a waiting list of paperwork.

Pharmaceutical companies and foundations run programs that give cancer medications for free or at very low cost to patients who can't afford them.

But to get them, a patient must first know they exist. Then find the right one. Then fill out the forms, gather income proof, chase doctors' signatures, and wait. All of this while fighting cancer.

Too many simply give up. Not because help doesn't exist. Because no one showed them the way.

Behind every number, a patient who needed someone to open the door.

What exists

  • Free medication programs
  • Charitable foundations
  • Treatments that work

What the patient sees

  • Forms they don't understand
  • Phone lines that ring endlessly
  • A bill they can't pay

Between the two columns, there is a gap. AMA fills it.

Three people. One gap.

Illustrative stories, based on situations patients commonly face. Real testimonials will be shared with patients' written consent.

Linda, 58, Ohio

Linda lost her job, and her insurance with it, three months before her breast cancer diagnosis. Her oncologist prescribed a treatment costing over $10,000 a month. A manufacturer program could have given it to her for free. Nobody told her. She spent six weeks calling numbers that led nowhere.

With AMA: in one call, we identify the program. In ten days, the application is complete. Her first dose arrives before her next appointment.

Marcus, 34, Georgia

Marcus works two jobs, and his insurance leaves him a $4,000 copay for his leukemia medication. He had started skipping doses to make the pills last.

With AMA: we find a foundation covering copays for his diagnosis and file the request with him. He never skips a dose again.

Rosa, 67, Texas

Rosa speaks little English. Her daughter tried to help, but the forms asked for tax documents, doctor signatures and income proof in a specific order. They gave up twice.

With AMA: we gather every document, coordinate with her doctor's office and follow up until the approval letter arrives.

Three stories. The same medicine was available every time. What was missing was someone to open the door.

No patient left behind by paperwork.

We don't make the medicine. We make sure it arrives.

Cancer Access is a new AMA program. Your gift funds its first Patient Access Navigators and the first patients they guide.

  1. We listen – their diagnosis, their prescription, their situation.

  2. We find – every program they qualify for.

  3. We file – the applications, the documents, the follow-ups.

  4. We stay – until the medication is in their hands.

Real people. Not a call center.

Every patient is guided by a trained Patient Access Navigator who knows the U.S. health system, speaks the patient's language, and stays with them from the first call to the first dose.

Our first Patient Access Navigators are being recruited. Their names and photos will appear here, with their consent.

You're not paying for the medicine. You're unlocking it.

The treatment is already funded. What's missing is the time and expertise to reach it. That's what your donation pays for. And that's why a small gift can open the door to treatment worth far more.
