About AMA

Strengthening healthcare access where it's needed most

Across Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, millions of people remain without access to essential care for lack of facilities, trained staff, and sufficient funding. Alliance for Medical Access works to close that gap, drawing on local organizations and on its own programs.

Alliance for Medical Access is a U.S. nonprofit that finances, structures, and implements healthcare access programs. It assesses needs alongside its partners, structures programs to institutional standards, mobilizes the funding required, and accounts for every disbursement — whether a program is implemented by a partner or by AMA itself.
