Across Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, the organizations that understand their communities best are often the least able to reach institutional funding. Not because their work is weak, but because grant-making systems require governance structures, financial controls, reporting formats and compliance documentation that a small local organization cannot produce on its own.
Our Mission
Alliance for Medical Access exists to close that gap. AMA does not deliver care. It assesses local organizations already doing the work, helps them structure projects to institutional standards, carries the administrative and fiduciary burden funders require, and accounts for how those funds are used.
The outcome we work toward is simple to state. Funding that would otherwise never reach a community-level organization can reach it — with the accountability funders need and the autonomy partners deserve.

Partner review
Before any commitment, every prospective partner is reviewed against defined criteria — governance, financial controls, technical capacity and legal standing.
Structuring support
AMA works alongside partners to meet the compliance and reporting standards that institutional funders impose.
Milestone-based disbursement
Funding is designed to be released in tranches against defined milestones rather than as a single transfer.
Traceability
Each disbursement is documented and reviewed before the next is released.
