Alliance for Medical Access is a nonprofit organization incorporated in Wyoming, United States, operating as a fiscal sponsor and consortium. AMA does not run field operations. Its role is to assess local organizations already working on healthcare access, help them structure fundable projects, channel funding to them, and account for how that funding is used.

AMA is a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor and consortium. Its model is designed to secure institutional funding and transfer it to local partner organizations under a documented disbursement protocol.
AMA is not a hospital, clinic, healthcare provider, or medical practice. It does not employ clinicians, deliver patient care, or bill patients or insurers. Its charitable activity is grantmaking and fiscal sponsorship: assessing local partner organizations, structuring their projects to institutional standards, and administering the restricted charitable funds that support their work.
